Trumpeter Kai Robert Johansen is from Østfold County in southeastern Norway; he has been performing for 53 years and has been a composer, trumpeter, singer, and radio and TV personality. Johansen has toured the world with his music, including 20 visits to the United States. His album sales exceed one million; several have become gold and platinum-certified. His latest CD, recorded in Nashville, is “Elvis-Trumpet, Kai Robert with James Burton and Musicians,” with strings and vocals by the Imperials. He’ll perform with Jane Backen on piano.
