2nd Annual Lutefiskfestivalen: Casual Night

  • Norway House 913 East Franklin Avenue Minneapolis, MN, 55404 United States (map)

Lutefisk @ Norway House is back! We invite you to join us for the second annual authentic Norwegian lutefisk experience hosted by Norway House and Lutefiskfestivalen LLC. The award-winning team of Norwegian culinary specialists will be back for two nights to prepare an elevated, modern take on this holiday tradition that has been a staple in Norway for hundreds of years.

For those who missed the event last year, this is not the typical church basement lutefisk dinner. The meal will be served with modern Norway’s traditional sides like bacon, and will include Norwegian beer and, of course, aquavit. Guests will be treated to a welcome drink, and a new feature this year is the "pultost bar,” where guests can sample one of the world’s oldest cheeses still in production, Norwegian entertainment, as well as lutefisk and aquavit “history" is also on the menu.

Chef Espen Tømte, who apprenticed with Norway's foremost chef Arne Brimi, will deliver this year's culinary delights.

There is no dress code for the event, but Friday night will be more casual, and Saturday night slightly more elegant, with a few additional surprises included!

A part of Matfestivalen, a collaboration of Norway House and Mindekirken. Lutefiskfestivalen at Norway House is the kickoff event, and Mindekirken’s iconic annual Lutefisk Dinner closes it out. In between, we highlight both traditional and modern Norwegian food culture beyond the infamous lutefisk.
